Grape-Nuts? Quick Bread

1 c Grape-Nuts? Cereal 2 c Buttermilk, or sour milk 1 ts Baking soda 2 Egg whites, or 1 egg 1 c Sugar 4 c Whole-wheat flour 4 ts S, baking powder 1 ts Salt 1 tb On, canola oil Mix Grape Nuts and milk; add soda; stir well. Stir in remaining ingredients and combine thoroughly (batter will be very stiff). Place in two well greased loaf pans. Bake at 350? for 1 hour.
