Mrs. Lyon's Lemon Bread
Yield: 8 Servings
6 tb Margarine 1 c White sugar 2 Eggs 1 1/2 c Flour 1/2 ts Salt 1 ts Baking powder 1/2 c Milk 1 Grated rind of lemon 1/2 c Nuts Cream sugar and margarine, add beaten eggs , add milk alternately with dry ingredients. Add the lemon rind and walnuts. Bake in loaf pan 1 hour in 350 oven. When baked pour over bread while still in pan the juice of lemon mixed with 1/2 cup of sugar, let cool.
