San Jacinto Inn Biscuits

4 c Flour 3 ts Backing Powder 1 ts Salt 1 ts Sugar 3/4 c Shortening 1 3/4 c Milk Sift flour and dry ingredients in mixing bowl. Add shortening and milk and work with hands on a lightly floured board. Roll out about 1/4 inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter. Place in a preheated 400 F. oven and bake 10 to 12 minutes till brown. Yields about 20 large biscuits. Recipe by: San Jacinto Inn--Texas
