Seed Luncheon Loaf

1 lb Flour 4 oz Margarine 2 oz Butter 6 oz Sugar 2 ts Baking powder 1 ts Caraway seeds 3 oz Candied peel 2 Eggs A little milk 1/4 ts Salt Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Rub in margarine and butter, add sugar, seeds and thinly sliced peel. Add beaten eggs with enough milk to make a light dough. Place in a well-greased loaf pan and bake 1 1/2 hours in a moderate oven (375F). (from FULL AND PLENTY, Maura Laverty)
