Summer Fruit Chutney

2 c Sugar 1 c Cider vinegar 1 tb Fresh ginger root; finely -grated 2 md Peaches; halved, 1/4" slices 4 md Dark plums; halved, cut in -1/8th 1 pt Blueberries 1/2 pt Raspberries 1 - In a medium nonreactive saucepan, combine the sugar, vinegar and ginger and bring to a boil over moderate heat. Let cool for 30 minutes. 2 - In a large bowl, combine the peaches, plums, blueberries and raspberries. Pour the sugar syrup on the fruit and let macerate for about 30 minutes. NOTES : A great accompaniment for grilled pork, roasted turkey or baked ham. Recipe by: Ron West
