Frijoles a la Charra A La Fubab

1 lb Pinto beans Water 1/2 lb Bacon; cut into pieces 1/2 Onion; cut into pieces 2 Cloves garlic 1 ts Salt 1/2 c Cilantro; chopped Wash beans. Heat water to boiling in medium sauce pan; add beans. Cook, adding water as necessary, for one hour. Add bacon, garlic, onion, and salt. Continue to cook at a low boil for 1 1/2 hours. Add cilantro during the last 15 minutes of cooking time.
