Pecan Delight Pie

4 Egg whites 1 c Sugar 1 3/4 ts Baking powder 1 ts Vanilla 2 c Soda crackers; coarsely -broken 1 c Chopped pecans 2 c Whipped topping or whipped -cream Beat egg whites until they form peaks. Continue to beat as you add sugar & baking powder. Continue to whip until stiff & all sugar is dissolved. Add vanilla. Add soda crackers & pecans, gently folding in by hand. Pour into greased 9-inch pie pan. Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Remove from oven & cool upside down. When thoroughly cooled, top with whipped cream. Sprinkle with pecans. LILA HUBER
